I placed my order about 7 weeks ago. Can someone go over the steps and related time estimates up until delivery.

For instance:

1. Order placed by customer
2. Dealer places order with Audi
3. Audi Confirms and accepts order (1 week)
4. Production start date (2 Weeks - from above)
5. Production (4 weeks)
6. Shipping (2 weeks)
7. Held in port (2 weeks)
8. Delivered to dealer (1 week)
9. Dealer prep (2 days)

If someone could give me an estimation, I would appreciate it.

We apparently are waiting for the same exact car.

Hope they give me yours on accident. Anyway, the dealer told me today that the order went in last week, and is expect a late September, early October delivery.

If I requested from the dealer when it is expected to move into "C" status, would they know what I'm talking about ?

Would like something more concrete from them so I can feel confident they arent feeding me a bunch of BS.

It's kind of annoying, and I think that I am getting fed a bunch of BS too! Supposedly my car went into production 2 weeks ago on Friday. I don't know how this could be considering the factory closes for most or all of August, and they would not finish before vacation. Anyways...I'm hoping that mine makes it here in September too! I placed the order in the beginning of June. When did you place yours?<p>David J

June 4th, at this point I think the dealer is just feeding me what I want to here. My guess is the late september early Ocotober delivery estimate is BS, propably won't arrive until November ..

What is this stuff about Audi going on vacation for August ? Is this a sarcastic joke or the real deal, if so, what is reasoning behind this ?
