OT: Need advice for inexpensive DV camcorder 600-1k
mostly for little friends parties (college student) trips, some car crap. Nothing too fancy, would like it pretty small and portable with a decent image. Thanks for any recommendations

Love my JVC DVL-805u

I agree--great camcorder.
Check out www.cnet.com for cheapest place online. Most electronics store honor online prices, so print out the page and take it with you when you shop. I bought the JVC back in July--899.00 at Circuit City and bought it for 579.00 online.
