Other than turbos, what is the biggest reliability concern with your S4s?

Other than turbos, what is the biggest reliability concern with your S4s?
I keep stalling on buying a used S4 and I'm watching more and more used ones go out of warranty.
I'm looking at getting an out of warranty S4 and putting in K04s myself as soon as I pick it up and leave it at that (stock software) for awhile and focus on whatever other reliability issues might come up.
I'e been researching the hell out of this car and I just want to make sure it isn't going to be a total money pit.
I guess the real question is, can I make this car into a pretty reliable car?

Yes you can. Call a service dept and check the service records since new. If it was in for
silly little things every few thousand miles that'll probably continue. Especially if it was the same things over and over. If it was only in for services with no or few other complaints, then that trend will probably continue or problems simply solved. That goes for just about any car.

Big ticket items are turbos and tranny. You don't want to see repeat problems
with either. When you find a worthy possibility take your time and go through each car you look at thoroughly. Make sure everything works, not just the things you tend to use most.
A few posts down someone has a silver 02 6spd for sale with 46k on the odometer. I would jump on that car, seems like the owner simply drove it and left it alone mod wise.
