Default ouch! i drive too much!

with 36,000 miles, my '00 s4 was quoted today for $25K. the dealer (bmw) said that it wasnt the condition of the car (said it was in excellent shape) but it was the mileage. forget bluebook, edmunds etc. however, the dealer knocked off 3 grand off the $53K tag on the car i was interested in. so maybe the s4 is worth $28K?!

you guys really think this is the current value for our s4s right now? i live in the east coast.

Default Bluebook Smubook... I use this only as a basic reference (as do buyers), but...

...as elementery as it may sound, your car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Selling a car is an on-hands process by the seller. If you want "top dollar" (possibly even above Bluebook), don't waste your time with newspaper ads and certainly don't expect squat from a dealer!!! Hard to say what you could get for your car, as there are many factors, including availability, condition, etc. If you plan on selling your car privately, feel free to e-mail me for some tips as I consider myself to be quite experienced at getting top dollar for cars in a short amount of time (short selling period).

Good luck.

Default Precisely...

When I sold my 96 Mustang Cobra (first year with the 32-valve DOHC) for my S4, the dealer offered me $8K. I sold it 3 weeks later for $11.7K by myself, after two weeks in the Boston Globe.

Sell it yerself!!

Default email me I might be interested

depending on location and color, but I would beat that price by at least 1000.
