Default Paging Dr.Duct_Mossburg

I have a couple questions about the dash. I have a really annoying squeak on the driver's side when i turn left or right, and was wondering if you saw anything in there that i might be able to tighten up. I took the gauge cluster out, but i didn't see anything. I've looked for write-ups also, can you give me a link to the most helpful one?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Miles

Default Is it the steering column? I have a squeak occasionally when turning.

I was told what it was by a friend (Audi Tech) but forget what it was, off the top of my head

Default i dont think so. if i put pressure on the dash toward the windshield, or if i push up or pull down

on that lip thats over the gauges, it doesn't squeak. I'll check though, thanks for the input.

Default i think the squeaking happens when the weight shifts in the car from left to right, or right to left

thanks, i'll give that a try

Default This is pretty obvious when it is the linkage....If its at speed and over bumps when turning

It sounds like something rubbing under load like youre thinkin. Good luck. I still need to do something about my glove box and pass. B pillar.

Default Theirs not really to much. The dash is simply a pad covering it.

I cant think of anything in or under the dash that would cause that.

maybe the air duct plastic rubbing against the plastic shell of the pad ??? is the dash tight ?? What kind of a squeeking is it ??

Maybe take a vid.

None of the right ups were to great. They were nice write ups, but simply didnt state all of the little small things. Theirs alot of time involved in removing it and putting it back in.
