Paging SupraS4..............WELL?!?!?
#4
Sorry guys was giving rides in the beast all night, then celebrating at the bar
Let's see some initial impressions:
1) Car is really hauling azz around 3000rpm, builds, and when you hit 3800, all hell breaks loose. I love it.
2) It's smooth, ridiculously smooth. The power builds in a linear fashion, it's not like an on/off switch.
3) It gets pretty decent highway gas mileage I was pulling 24mpg for my trip back to Pitt.
4) ASP's switching program is awesome. I'm addicted to kill mode, and the valet mode is entertaining since you can only get up to 30mph.
5) Idle is much better. The ECU at first was oscillating quite a bit at idle, but once it adapted it stopped.
6) The car sounds deliciously bad-azz. I'm not kidding, it has the most beautiful tone to it.
7) Highway driving is the same as if driving a stock S4...cept when you get on it to pass and it's like someone hit afterburners .
8) It is very well behaved around the city. I'm getting used to the clutch and driving stick again (cut me some slack it's been a month).
9) Girls scream when you punch it (I promise I wasn't doing WOT Mark!! Just 1/2 to 3/4.)
10) My one friend said "I'm not going to lie to you, I think I just pooped my pants".
11) The competition motor mounts are growing on me. They were really harsh at first. 360 miles have helped them out a bit. Still noticeable at low speeds (friends say they like it), but once you take off it stops.
12) I love the car. It was worth every single penny. I couldn't be any happier with it in it's current form. Mark, Frank, Tory, Brian, Andy, the Autospeed guys, I can't thank you all enough for making this kit happen. It has done nothing but bring a huge ****e eating grin to my face. I'm in love.
13) What else?
