Performance wise, how does a A6 2.7T stack up against an S4 (both stock)

handling? hands down S4, braking? S4, acceleration, S4, top end likely S4.

dont forget .. a6 is heavier than the s4

150-200lbs or so iirc.
 

s4 launched properly should hit 5.0-low 5's 0-60.

Yeah, so it's equivalent to a passenger...not much

it's sad really .. that such a larger car is *only* 1 passenger heavier

Just out searching..A6 (4.2 and 2.7T) and S4 2.7T do 0-60 in 6.5-6.7seconds (tiptronic)
 

All very similar for the tiptronic...stick is a little harder to compare since driving skill comes into play.
