The shafts are much smaller. Are they as strong as stock?

Default that deosn't even look like the right shaft, the abs ring looks way smaller..

maybe its the view though, do you have a birds eye view pic? If the abs ring is different in any way from the old axle, (smaller teeth, bigger or smaller gaps, etc) it will throw off the abs and you will have all kinds of funky pedal syndrome. All 4 axles have to have the same abs ring or it will screw with the abs system. Had same issue with my 90Q...damn aftermarket axles.

Default it appears they are solid, vs. hollow for the oem shaft

Does it feel much heavier than stock?

Default yea it makes sense b/c a hollow pipe has similar moment of inertia as a solid pipe

that has the same dimensions. save weight and material

Default It weighs about the same as the old one. And yes, that shaft is very solid.

The CVs and ABS ring are exactly the same size as the original as well. The depth perception in the pic makes it look like its not. The inner CV comes ungreased, so you have to grease her up yourself with their supplied grease packet. Also comes with the gasket.

I installed I haven't had any problems. Got rid of my annoying clicking sounds, which is the main thing! I think the price of these are $92, and they were in stock, and I don't have to return my core.

Default I've had the same issue when replacing driveshafts on other cars

For example, the older VW GTI's had hollow driveshafts while the other base model cars had solid shafts. The rebuilt shafts were usually solid and covered all models. I know the hollow shafts help with unsprung weight but I never worried about it. On the S4, I replaced the outer front boots and the entire inner front joints. That's one way to keep the oem hollow shafts.

Default I'll be changing the other shaft in the not too distant future, just because.

At the price PureMS charges, you can't go wrong. And the CV's are all new, not rebuilt. The difference in stiffness in the old one and the new one was like night and day.
