Piggie Pipes question... instead of relocate O2 sensor use a MIL eliminator? Will this work?
#4
Try searching, I remember reading about someone trying to use one (m)
Seemed it did not work very well.
Do you need to pass an emissions test? I failed NJ emissions in my Jeep for high NOx and subsequently determined the downstream O2 sensor was dead. I did have a CEL but thought I'd give it a shot (inspection is free at a state run center). Once I replaced it, I passed.
My point is that the downstream O2 sensor does serve a purpose and without it, you may or may not pass emissions. Better off moving the sensor while the pipes are out of the car.
