Please help identify this headlight assembly.
I just met up with another AW'er here from the area. We both commented that his passenger side headlight was near worthless. The beam pattern was slanted diagonally and nearly non existent compared to the driver's side. It was obvious that something was seriously messed up.
Recalling Daphne's saga, our first bet was that the bulb was in upside down. The passenger side headlight was, in fact, replaced by the dealer recently because "it was loose". We suspect the dealer broke it during service.
After taking the headlight out, it became clear that the bulb was wedged into place and did not fit correctly. I'm 90% sure that this headlight is actually designed for a non-xenon A4 or Halogen (Canada) S4. Can someone please confirm? Thanks guys.

According to this post, that is a xenon housing...

Tragedy has been averted... I manged to get the bulb in properly and snuggly...
I don't know if I should say this on the forum...
But we needed to put just the bulb in first (without the power connector)...
I had to reshape the hold latch a bit to better hold in the bulb. Once the bulb was in, put the power connector on and turn.
I will put it back on the car tomorrow... Hopefully now the lights will work properly.
Thanks for the help Chris.

D'oh! I'm such a n00b. That still doesn't explain why the light doesn't work at all though.
I don't think the bulb as in upside down and the beam patter was wayyy of. While you have the housing off, check the leveling motor Naim.

Will do.... I guess I will have to do a serach to find out whatI need to check, but ...
I think that bulb was never in correctly to begin with (damn dealer techs).
I will defiantly check before I reinstall everything...
P.S. I was wondering if you had logs of the misfire....
Before my warranty expired, I did report that the engine was not running smoothly. I am wondering if AoA will resolve that engine issue.
Thanks again for the help yesterday.
