PLEASE help me diagnose my A/C issue
Hey all...
since i bought my s4 i have had issues with the A/C system. First off before i get into anything let me tell you what i am experiencing.
When i turn on my ac all the way to low (coldest) i can feel semi cold air coming out but NOT COLD AIR like it should.
At first i thought maybe it is the compressor. So i got a new one put in (FOR FREE =) and got it checked for leaks and refilled. This did NOT fix it. i had the same result.
So i know i have a good compressor, good condensor, NO LEAKS, yet the car is still blowing in warmish cold air. I dont know what my next steps are. When i was testing the system, i took off the plastic battery cover and felt the ac charge pipes or whatever they are called, and they were freeeeeeezing to the touch. Somehow this cold air is NOT coming into the cabin.
One of my buddies thinks that there is a valve or a flap inside the dash that is allowing both hot air and cold air to enter the cabin at teh same time resulting in coolish warm air. Has anyone heard of this theory before.
If i can get some schematics of all ac parts or a list or something to help me diagnose my issue i would be greatly appreaciative.
thanks guys

How is your oil and coolant temps?
When my aux fan broke, my oil and coolant temps would rise (coolant would go past the halfway mark) and eventually the compressor would shut down automatically and blow hot air until the car cooled down again. Once I fixed the fan, everything was fine.
