Default Please help, my car is bouncing up and down the highway....

First of all, I have H&R coilover ultras that I picked up from AWE. Secondly, I just got my car back from the dealer after they replaced a vaccum pump and lower control arms..
My first thought was --the shocks are dead.. The car is acting as if it had no shock resistance and bounces up and down like a ghetto cruiser As far as I know there is no way to control damping so that is likly not the problem... The ride height is normal.. It has NEVER done this before.. Is there a way to check for a dead shock(s)? BTW this is not the first problem I've had with the coilovers as AWE forgot to mention the coilovers would not work without a modification as I have '01 perches. Found that out the hard way and ended up over 500$ in repair/problem hunting..... F#$K!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help!!

Default Question/Answers to your question:

So how long have you been riding around with the Ultras? I have had it for 20k miles now. On highway, at highspeed, it goes up and down along the road surface for me, too. I believe it's just the nature of this stiff suspension set.

the suspension is really stiff, when I go up some steep driveway with an angle (don't wanna scrap), I often can lift 1 rear wheel off the ground for a bit. Go figure~

As long as shocks, you can always take your wheels and inspect it. See if it's leaking.

hope that helps

Default About 20,000k mi on my coilvers too..

Yes they are stiff but this should NOT be happening! It feels like the front end is lifting off the ground sometimes... Anyways I will most likly need new shocks, but I will inspect further today. BTW, where did you order your coilovers from? Think AWE will back up there product and honer a replacement?

Default I can assure you that if your shock is gone, AWE will replace it

It sounds like your shock is gone, unless you are hearing some clunking or something.
