POLL: Piggie Pipes :: OR :: Extra APR ECU slots?
so i have about 300 $ burning in my pocket right now.
I am under warranty still, and only have the APR v5 with one slot at 91 oct. right now. I would like to have at least a stock , and if possible, 100, and valet/security or whatever, for a total of maybe 3 slots.
So, whats the consensus? I have a custom true dual 3" cat back right now. Its more like a VM2 replica FWIW.

Re AntiTheft; I like knowing the bastard better bring a Stg3 M-box...
with him if he's gonna drive MY car away.
Though piggies are hard to beat. 90% (?) of downpipe benefit for a fraction of the price. I will eventually go with "real" downpipes, but even on K04s they rip.

Here's some thoughts/comments on the APR EMCS Slots....
General reminder: You pay for "Slots", and putting a different program into that slot is free if you have the Home Programmer, or some labor fee if you have to go to an APR distributor. That said...
1.) Do you have the Home Programmer? If not, consider buying that for $99. Even with only one slot, you can still reprogram that single slot to stock/91/93/100/Valet whenever you want. Example: If you have a laptop, you could drive to a dragstrip on 93oct/program, and once there reprogram to 100program and put in race gas. No, it's not the easiest, but is an option to remember.
2.) Get the Home Programmer ($99) and 1 additional slot ($149) so you can do your reprogramming further in advance. Maybe you want 91oct and Stock most of the time, but if you know you're going to the drags, you could reprogram to 91 & 100 earlier that week, so once you get to the drags, you can just use the cruise control to swap programs.
3.) "Security Lockout" vs "Anti-Theft" :
"Security Lockout" keeps others from changing which program you currently have loaded. For example, you can put your car in Stock or Valet and then lock it there so some other driver can't change it back. This is different from "Anti-Theft".
"Anti-Theft" is a setting that allows you disable the car's ability to start.
Neither of these functions occupy a program "Slot". Program Slots are just for actual engine performace code, ie Stock/91/93/100/Valet.
Just wanted to clarify in case it wasn't clear.
