FK-451 tires (Madman approved). I've seen and heard good qualities about them.
I will be launching (4k) frequently on these tires. Will they hold the power on X and XR? I'm also looking at the Falken RT-615's, but I'm afraid at freeway speeds these may be unstable in wet weather.
Last season I ran Hankook Ventus RS-2's. A great tire for dry and wet conditions, but the sidewall is on the soft side.
Looking for great street hookup, decent wet weather (I don't push the car when it's wet) and a rigid sidewall. Of course, to spend as little $$ as possible!
TIA -- you tire experts are life savers!!!!

Too many posts about the sidewalls coming apart on the 451's.
The pics I have seen didn't seem to be related to odd tire wear. Low tire pressures may have contributed, but there is no way to verify.
My advice would be to look elsewhere.

might get flamed for this, but with a mod list like that, why are you skimping on the one
item that contacts all that power to the road.. sure I have viewed posts were poeple had good luck with off brand (or prob better described not the big 5 brand) tires, but for what will only be a few more bucks now (and with wear life the way it is on the cheaper brands) prob even in the long run, why not run something like a PS2 which consistantly has all the qualities your looking for, but will have a much longer tread life... example I am averaging almost 30k on the pilot sport series (2 sets of original PS lasted into 30s on both my GTis, my new set has 17k and looking strong, and I have a set on my S4 at 11k and well more than 50% depth left, I even run the PS alpins in winter and they look great after multiple seasons), for the additional 100 bucks each you spend on them, to get 50% more miles it will def. pan out in the long run.

never tried the goodyears, from reading it would seem a better dry traction for a a slightly lower
tread wear... I wonder how that aggressive tread compaires to the assymetic pattern on the PS2's in the wet? Does the F1 even have a rain channel?

Doesn't have a rain channel, but I thought the TireRack ratings indicate it has better wet traction
than the PS2s. I have the GSD3s and I think they perform very well in the wet.
