I just installed mine on Friday and i agree that it is pretty easy if you have the correct tools such as the 6mm hex socket. but those circlips were a major pain in my ***. as i'm sure you'll soon find out. for the larger circlip, the circlip plier i purchased didn't work, so i went back to the hardware store and they didn't have one, so i bought an angled needle-nose plier and got home and i didn't work either(getting a bit frustrated at this point). the tips were too wide. then as a last ditch effort i grabbed a needle-nose plier i had in my tool box and sure enough it worked. the shifter is very nice though. i'm thinking about doing it over again at 40% just to see how it is.

In a scale of 1~10. 10 being the hardest. I'll give it a 4.

Default Easy - I'd give it a 3

The right tools are a must. Having someone around that's done it before speeds it up as well. Read the archives, get the right tools and you'll be ok.
