porsche is the real deal
I was at the audi/porsche dealer today and saw the new 911 "S" model up close. It had the huge cayenne sized brake calipers and ceramic rotors. The rotors have visible particles in the metal similar to brake pad material. BTW, they charged $15 for the two plastic barrels on the sun visors, where they clip into place.

no, I apologize
I was so excited about seeing the ceramic brakes on the porsche I couldn't write clearly. I stopped at my audi dealer who also sells porsche. I ordered OEM audi parts.. and probably got charged porsche prices! If you're not into tech stuff you probably won't understand my enthusiasm for the ceramic brake rotors.

you serious?
I've read that they don't wear as well as standard rotors, but that's terrible. Were you at the track or just street driving? I do recall reading an article about a guy and his son taking their enzo to the track. They had to replace all four ceramic rotors after one hard track day. I believe it was $15k or so.
