Is it possible to lose coolant from the cut hose under the resivour tank?
If so, why does this happen and is it bad?
I looked at my coolant tank and it was below the min line. Is this normal?

Cut hose is overflow from the cap releasing - your cap could be going bad, i.e. not holding enough
pressure. Have you seen coolant loss from that hose, or are just simply losing coolant and don't know where it's leaking from?

Also how much have you lost and over what timeframe? Some water will permeate through the hoses.
This is normal, but it will only lose like 3-4 ounces a year this way. If you have only lost a slight amount, then I would consider it normal. Add a small amount of distilled water or 50/50 G12+ & distilled water. 4 ounces is 1/2 cup, BTW. If you have to add more than 8 ounces in a year or so, you likely have some sort of leak.

Afterrun pump is common spot - PITA to get to, under the intake manifold. You might be able to see
some dried residue at the back of the engine from up top. IF you can't find any external residue then the next logical place to look is inside the engine, but this is extremely bad news. Find that leak ASAP!
