Default Same **** happens on my 2000 S4.

And I don't even have ESP! I'm 99% sure it's the EDL - Electronic Differential Lock. Do a search and you should be able to find posts pertaining how to rig up your own kill switch. I know Blitz put a nice kill switch in my S4 when Andy owned the car. =)

Default could be a slipping clutch!

And IIRC the 2000 MY A6 did not have ESP.

Could likely be EDL too as mentioned below.

Default Spec 2 is what you need ;)

If you are going to upgrade, skip teh RS4 OEM and go straight to Spec stage 2! It can take those higher RPM launches with ease.

same here, could be different traction on rear wheels, so other one spins and edl cuts power

Default sure it does, depend greatly on tires and pavement. Besides it's good for the drivetrain to spin...

slightly.

Default While I have no experience with Spec clutches...

I can tell you that the RS4 clutch in my S4 has endured a ton of abuse without any let downs! We're talking a good 300+ launches on it! Amazing for a clutch that goes for $400 brand new shipped!

Here are some videos of my S4 at the track utilizing the stock RS4 clutch. Enjoy.

http://69.57.130.234/rf_videos/drag_racing/Audi116.WMV</a
