Default This is probably a nOOb question, but GIAC tuning...
So doesn't GIAC use flashing for the K04 software? There is a chip for sale which is supposedly from GIAC and the K04 software. Can I run this? Just solder it in, or...? I have a 2001.5 S4...

Is this for stage 3 or stage 3-? Stage 3- is K04's with stock fueling.

Default I'm putting on the whole k04/fueling kit. My question...will this chip be GIAC
k04 software? I thought they flashed their software into the ECU without chips...

Default Is this an AWE stage 3 kit? GIAC does not make a stage 3 kit. Are you buying whole fueling kit
with chip or what? Chip must be matched to specfic HW for stage 3.

Default No no no...I have the entire AWE kit MINUS software. Therefore...
I need to find k04 software. There is a GIAC k04 chip posted in the classifieds...and I was unfamiliar with such because I was under the impression that GIAC flashed the software. Does that make sense? Sorry if I was unclear...

You need AWE SW to go with AWE fueling kit. How come SW didn't come with kit?

Default Lol...AWE fueling kit uses GIAC K04 software. I thought you'd need an encryption board if chipped.
Flashed version is newer, probably updated software plus you can change programs.

Default Ok I'm not that much of a NOOB! :) I knew that AWE uses GIAC...I just
didn't know GIAC uses chips and was confused..

Also need to make sure have correct chip file. Injectors, CAI, MAF, etc.
