problem with adding subs
i'm trying to install two 12 inch subs by tapping the rear deck speakers to convert the line to a low pass rca out. Everything seems to be working properly but, the amp shorts out all the time when the base hits. Does anyonew have any suggestions on what i should do or what is going on?

I think you need to provide more details.
Not to treat you like you're stupid, but there are a number of things you could have done wrong.
1. Bose or non-Bose system?
2. Did you tap the line level signal or the amplified signal?
3. Did you use the line level inputs on your amp, or the hi level inputs on the amp?
4. Where did you source power for the amp?
