Problems with Subwoofer install
Sub was installed- wired off rear speakers. There was NO involvement to dash or main unit. Sub has it's own amp. The following are some of the things that now happen (IMMEDIATELY following install):
- Low gas "type" ring when I shut car off.
- Randomly bumps radio station to next number
- Sometimes chimes 3 times when car is shut off
- Sometimes nothing happens.
Installers say it's caused by the car reading some power that's not usually there or some sh#t...
Your thoughts? It just makes me nervous.

sounds like a loose ground or something isn't grounded right. I did the same install
getting the signal off the rear speakers (hi-level input) with an MTX amp and it worked fine.
