Default Putting on my summer wheels, question about the lug bolts...

I stole Scott12v's OZ F-1 Plus Wheels but he has 2 sets of lug bolts and I'm not sure which are the right ones. Both sets are the proper lug bolt type for that wheel but the lengths are different.

How much thread should engage in the hub and how much is too much? Or better put, how long should the lug bolts be? No spacers are involved here...

Thanks guys!

You should get at least 5 turns - too long and the wheel will bind (check before taking off stands)

just try them both. You'll only need to thread one of each to find out which one is correct

Default Thanks...I'm not worried about them being too long...

I'm worried about them being too short and not threading in far enough.

He doesn't have 20 of the longer ones, so I'm trying to figure out if the shorter one will be long enough.

I guess the best way will be to pull off the old wheel/lugs and see how much of the lug is sticking out of the back of the wheel.

Thanks!

I have those, too. The thread length is near stock... they're just conical as opposed to ball seat.

Stock bolts are M14 x 1.5 x 27mm (I believe there is 27 mm of thread)
