Question...is the 3inch hole in the airbox for more...

airflow or better heat shielding?

or is it both?

of course it's in use with a bigger filter.

Then why not just run no stock aribox surrounding??...

Just have the filter with a heatshield...

Too much heat w/o box... 3 inches hole in the box is next to wheel fender...
