Question-Can I take 1200 round trip when I first get my car?
I'm getting my ca4r next week and need to go out of town. I will be driving 600 miles there and a couple of days later, 600 miles back. I know to let car sit after a workout. Please help. I don't wanna have to fly and leave my car in ATlanta right when I get it.<p>2001

I asked my dealer that same question, and he said as long as you don't sustain high rpm's for a long period of time during break-in, you should be fine. So I wouldn't suggest cruising at 110mph the whole way down there.

Of course you can..
it is the best way to run it in better than several weeks of slow city driving- be wary though not to use high rpms or let the engine strain at low speed plus, apparently to drive at a constant speed is bad in the first 1000 miles, best to go say 60mph then 80mph for 5 minute stretches - dunno why this is but that is what I'm told!
