question on my new giac chip

I just got my car chipped by giac. I love it! Is the race program 100 octane? If so can I mix 93 and 110 to get 100 octane? Will I notice a big differnce using the race program? Thanks

Most 110 octane is leaded gas, don't use that. and yes, race is 100 octane.

Sunoco GT race gas = 100 octane. VP fuels has several unleaded formulations. Or mix 1 gallon

toluene per 2 gallons of 93 for something a tad over 101 octane (toluene is 118 octane per a VP racing fuels tech I spoke to).

Do not go above 2:1, maybe go a little less to get 100 octane, as (from what I have heard) it raises the aromatics too much (whatever that does). The tech from VP racing fuels mentioned something about how it alters the flame front and you can end up holing out a piston (IIRC).

Race program (XR) is NOT recommended for 93 octane (assuming you have a fairly "stock" car, stage 2). Adapts quickly to 100 octane, and can adapt up to 104 (IIRC). Can be run with less than 100 octane, but you are taking your chances the closer you get to (pick a number) 95.

Feed it the right stuff and XR is lots of fun. Remember, octane is your friend :-)
