Question in regards to my timing belt install...help please = )
So I'm almost done here. Water pump, t-stat, rollers, and timing belt are in. I think I'm going to call it a night. Question though, since I did not use the cam lock tool, I made whiteout marks on each sprocket (3 on each cam and 2 on the crank...overkill i know) Anyway, I made sure all markings where transfered correctly onto the new belt...new belt went in and all markings were spot on. I'm a bit confused, however, from reading different diy tb posts. Big holes on the Wing plates are on the inside and the line is lined up with the crank. If I rotated it what exactly am I looking for? Should the markings line up again after 2 rotations? I've rotated a dozen times now and markings never line up however wing plates and crankshaft are lines up after 2 turns. I'm hesitant to put anything back together until I kno. TIA!!!

What's your question??
Yes, the crank and cam marks should (BETTER) line up every two turns. You markings won't line up again for a while.
Big holes "in" mean, TDC. Small holes "in" mean, BDC. This only really makes a difference if you use the crank locking tool.

I just did it this way instead of moving the radiator off to the side.
