Default question on wheel/tire. Tire is flat and valve stem will not allow any air to get to tire.

I have tried to get some air into the tire but nothing doing. Does this sound like the wheel is the problem and not a punctured tire. Just wondering. I was going to go back to Ronal Monday but was wondering if a place down in Irvine, Huntington beach, Newport areas that I can cart the wheel too , to have them check it out. ANy suggestions would be helpful.

Default Is air going in, then coming right back out?

You could have a missing valve stem.

When I didn't like somebody in high school, I used to take my valve stem remover and "jack" the stem out of one of their wheels. It's a lot cleaner than slashing tires. That, and if the victim is stupid, they will usually go buy a brand new tire; automatically assuming that the tire is punctured. Damn I'm bad.

Default This is crazy,

Last night wheel wouldnt even take air in. This morning Tow truck comes and they cant get air in. Tow it to Goodyear, they cant get air in. They put on the 16" spare, I go home. After a few hours I was going to load up the wheel in the trunk of my other car to get it looked at Monday. Thought what the heck, lets try to get air into it. Wham air goes right in. I get it to 37psi, and thought maybe it will start losing air. after 10 minutes I have 36psi, so there is a leak. Then I tighten the stem and am now waiting another hour then go back and see what psi it is. Unbelievable, 3 different people couldnt even get air to go into the tire, nothing, nada, then out of the blue it lets air in. Must be bad karma for me today! Oh well will check again shortly.

Default sounds like a valve stem problem...

not only can the stem be loose but it can stick intermittantly or simply give up. Make sure it's changed just on spec when the other work is done.

I am supposed to be going to Velocity this week for some strange reason...I'll let you know what day ;-)

Default Weight of car was causing the bead to not seal.

When the tire was free of the car it took a more natural set on the rim.

Default Sounds possible, if true, might be dangerous until the seat is "confirmed", that is, 36psi might not

be enough to seat the rim properly. That would also explain a slow leak.

Default

He is right on, or the bead could be broken from the rim sitting on the tire
