questions about MTM full suspension
I've been thinking of getting the Koni/MTM suspension upgrade but I have a few nagging questions. Has anyone driven this setup during winter? The S4 is also my winter driver so I'm concerned about clearance. Do the shocks have multiple spring perches? Does the car have a more level look unlike stock where the front sits higher than the rear? Adjustable coil-overs would be perfect but I seriously doubt that anyone in Montana would be able to do a complete install with corner balance. I guess my main concern is winter clearance since we can get a bit of snow here. I had no problems last winter with the stock suspension so I'm thinking a 20 mm drop might not be too bad. And finally what is the fender height with this set up? Thanks!

It's more than a 20mm drop, but you'll still be fine.......
I don't know where they came up with 20mm drop. The stock fender height is 26.75"f/26.5"r. Fender height with MTM full suspension is 25" front and rear. That equals a 43mm front drop and 37mm rear drop. Now.....that may seem like a lot, but I think the suspension is absolutely superb both in terms of ride and handling. The look is just right, and as long as you have real winter tires, you should have no problem in the snow. I live in western Massachusetts and we had a killer winter this year. I had no problem whatsoever. I, too, was very worried about the clearance issue, but with the right rubber, this car will get through anything. And, if you have a foot of snow on the road, even a stock height S4 is going to have problems. I would not hesitate to get the set-up. It does not have multiple spring perches.

Will a tighter suspension like the MTM suspension/shock setup screw with winter driving performance?
