Questions on installing TURBO TIMER
well, my buddy and i are planning on installing a turbo timer into his S4.
he bought an HKS Type 0.
i just have a couple of questions before we begin.
the install requires tapping into the RPM wire and Emergency BRAKE wire.
Where can I find these without searching for them endlessly?
any other advice for the install?
TIA!

Some answers...
There are two wires that run from the e-brake handle. A solid brown wire and a brown/white wire. You need to tap into the brown/white wire.
In order to get to this wire you need to lift up the console around the e-brake handle a bit so you can have access to make a cut through the friction tape. The wire runs along the plastic trim piece along the drivers side.
Good luck in finding an elegant way to remove this piece. We nearly had to molest a car to get the piece to loosen up so we could work with the wire.
The RPM wire is the green/white wiring in the ECU harness. There is also a brown wire for the RPM as well but not certain.

Re: Questions on installing TURBO TIMER
I used the article in the tech section of the forum an it worked very well, read it before u startso you understand it. I picked up the parking brake wire under the center console 2 screws in front and three bolts, two under the cup holder give it a firm pull it will pop out revealing two of them and take out the rear ashtray and there's the third. The tach wire is explain in that tech article take out the gauges like it says it only takes 15 min. or so.
