Quick Poll regarding control arms....

Has anyone had their control arms replaced under an extended warranty?

My dealer says I need new control arms (upper, lower) for both fronts. Now my extended warranty company says they are not covered. This is unfortunate because the extended warranty company I'm using is whom the dealer directed me too. In fact the woman I bought it from has a desk in the dealership!!! Im pretty pissed off now. My 2000 S4 has 54000 miles on it. This is my 1st experience with this warranty company.

what warranty company is it? Is the policy exclusionary or listed component? Who is the warranty

company?

Your lower control arms should be covered under the recall.

Only if aluminum uprights.

So John, does that mean no COs recall for my '01.5 ?

The recall was just for the aluminum ones ?

That's what I understand, only early MY 2000's.

I got the recall notice, but I already bought the entire control arm set. Also, my dealer said I had to show service records to show I adhered to maintenance schedule the entire time. It wasn't worth fighting, I never even brought it in for then to inpect it.
