Default Quick question about oiling filters, ITG in this case.

I'm just wondering if it would be alright to run an ITG filter without oil. I'm just paranoid as hell about the oil fouling the MAF. I have a Bosch which makes matters worse. I plan on washing it pretty often anyways. If I do oil it, what do you think are the chances of the MAF going south?

Default Use No-Toil. It does not weep upstream like some oils...

Don't just use any old filter oil. Most filter oils are designed either for K&N or dirtbike foam filters.
ITG recommends No-Toil, it dries VERY tacky and and I've been using it on ITGs for 20+k miles, even on Bosch MAF with no problem.
ITG filter needs to be oiled lightly too compared to K&N, it's not "dependent" on the oil saturation for filtering like cotton element filters.

Default Thank you, that really helps!

If I was going to get oil for this filter I would have ordered the right one by the way. I guess the problem was that I was assuming the oil they use is simmilar to that K&N stuff so that's why I was paranoid about it. Now that you set it straight for me it sure makes things easier. Where would you reccomend to get the oil from? AWE sells a 6.75oz spray bottle of ITG oil for $19.95. Is that an alright price or do you know of better alternatives? Again, thank you!
