Raced a 993 turbo from a stoplight
I didn't want to look like a complete *** going with a drag launch, not knowing if he was going to race or not. So I did a fairly conversative launch at 1500rpms.
0-30mph - even
30-60mph - porsche pulled ahead a carlength
60-90mph - even, with porsche gaining a tiny bit
I think it was an auto, but afterwards I realized I was still in stock mode and the A/C was on full blast. Doh and double doh!

993 turbos were never made in auto, only 996 turbos are
If you were in stock mode there was no way he was trying. They run the 1/4 mile in the mid 12's compared to a stock s4's low 14s. With that much of a difference the driver isn't an issue at all. If he was trying he would have had more than a couple cars on you buy 90. It could have been a riced-out non-turbo, than I would believe it easily.

riced out?
I've never seen a riced out porsche. That would be funny though! It was more than likely an S version, either C2S or C4S, with a turbo wing (and maybe a turbo badge) stuck on. These were turbo-bodied, turbo-braked, etc cars, without the turbos. So you'd be lookin at low 5's (mis 5's for AWD version) and high 13's I would guess, so it'd be pretty even.
