Default Raced a EVO VIII today...(More)

Me and my buddy heading to the movies, pull up to a silver EVO, both our lanes were clear.

My buddy was trying to see if he wanted to run, he had pretty dark tint so we could barely see who was in it only that he was alone.

I got on it a bit and backed off, I was ready if he gunned it and he did, I pulled 2 car lengths and my buddy was like he is not really trying which I agreed.

So we motioned to run and nothing came of it, so I put it in 6th and just stuck to cruising.

Well all a sudden he guns it and gets in front of me in my lane WOT, so I shift down and go WOT and very very slowly gain on him, I would say it was pretty even until we hit 100 and then I started pulling a little bit faster, I got in the right lane and he let off.

Overall I made about 1 cars length up.

We exchanged thumbs up. My buddy was impressed. And I think the guy in the EVO was too.

Oh yeah I know EVO would own me on track, just an interesting run.

Default Couldn't have been an RS

Google search revealed this little piece that leads me to believe that you did NOT encounter an EVO RS

You are right - It was the VIII, it had a big wing. I guess my friend can't read.

Default IIRC, the RS doesn't have "RS" on it anywhere. You have to look for the spoiler delete or non-HID

headlights.

Default I raced an evo as well.

We both launched strong and I took him in 1st gear, slam it into 2nd clutched slipped a little and he gained but by 3rd gear i was ahead again. They tend to lose there quickness at triple digits compared to our cars. The one i raced had aftermarket exhaust turbo back and bov.

I raced my friends EVO and won. He's stock and I'm running X chip with airbox mod. Even until about 65 then I pull on him.
