I passed him up going pretty fast, and he bit the bait. Caught up and we were cruising at about 90 in light sprinkly conditions. I let him pass me up a few car lengths to check if it had the dual exhaust--*yep*. I downshift, and I'm guessing he was still on the gas and missed the jump I made because I was "inching" my way past him through 5th gear. Finally passed him up doing well over "!!(" (can anyone guess?) and took the lead in front. We slowed to an easy 70 while going through a pack of light traffic, and then another wide-open stretch emerged. There was a car in front of me, and once it opened up, I knew he was going to try a pass. So I downshifted again to 4th, and I switched lanes at the same time he did. He got to the next lane over and he couldn't pull on me. We were dead even to the end of 5th and early 6th gear. We both slowed again and I let him take the lead for a while.

We drove like this for a good 20-25 miles going back and forth taking the lead in light traffic. At last I had to merge onto another freeway, and got in front. He gave me a couple flashes of his high-beams, and I gave him a few flashes of my emergency lights and we went our separate ways. I'm taking it as a "nice drive gesture", rather than "YOU SUCK YOU AUDI ENTHUSIAST!"

maybe he wasn't even trying??? No, it wasn't a total KILL. We were playing back and forth, so no real decisive "better car/driver". I just know that on the first jump I gained and passed him up, but it took FOREVER, so I'm sure he was trying.

All them runs are helping me out, eh??? =P

looks really good. the A-pillar remount took a few mins, but it finally decided to snap right in! :-)

with the 2000 or earlier models, a modded S4 can slightly pull away from the M coupe after 90 mph or so. but agianst the new 2001 M coupe the S4 stand very little chance to even get on the bumper.
forget about a stock S4, it stand little to no chance agianst any M coupe.
