Ran a new best ET & trap today... 10.73@132.76
It's getting a little quicker and faster, but it's frustrating because I spent a solid hour perfecting the tune the night before -- getting every ounce of horsepower I could out of the K04s -- only to have everything change the next day due to significantly higher outside temps, different elevation, and other differing conditions. I need to start tweaking an hour or two before the track opens on a road right outside the track.
It seems like no matter what I try at the strip, the car will simply not hook. I'm pulling pathetic high 1.6 and low 1.7 60fts. I was cutting the same 60fts in my old full weight K03 Cactus Green S4 which ran only 12.8@106! I need to change things up and at the bare minimum get a cheap set of coilovers and a decent alignment. With a 1.50 60ft, I think this pig will go 10.4. Or maybe I just need to fork over the keys to somebody else. Is there anybody on this forum who thinks they're a good driver (and that preferably weighs 120lbs or less)?

10.73@132.76 video from today

I dunno, I really don't think so. It's an easy car to drive...
I'm sure anyone could run the times I run with it. I've been a hack the last 2-3 times out... Granny shifting even though I keep telling myself to shift as fast as I can. Shifting at random RPMs instead of where I really want to shift. And then there's the launch... I just can't nail it.

Marc how bad are you spinning the front and back tires?
Even a set of stiffer springs in the rear and the bushing trick up front might help improve the launch since the stiffer rear will keep the front tires on the ground and the decrease in compression up front will keep the car level completely reducing weight transfer between shifts and that will cut a bit more off your ET.
BTW I dont think anyone here is 120 or less :P

I actually know a 103lb chic with a Gixxer 600 who said she'd run the car for me.
But I'm not sure that I want to risk it, especially the trans...
Yeah, I'm not too sure what I want to do with the suspension just yet. I'm almost thinking of going with a RWD approach and installing my Stasis 4:1 center diff along with some slicks in the back. But then the problem is the rear tires won't be the same height as the fronts.
Here's a video to illustrate what I'm talking about with the RWD approach:

http://titsup-racing.com/video/DSMlaunch.wmv</a

I wouldn't exactly call that granny shifting haha
Your shifting seems fast and I wouldn't call it a bad launch with a 1.6 or whatever it was 60 ft. Have you ever considered a shift light for consistency? Could be a dumb idea just throwin it out there though. PS I love your car and all your videos haha.
