Just noticed a mean looking charcoal grey M5 parked in a drieveway while walking around my neighborhood and it got me thinking...how would an S4 with ECU/downpipes/exhaust do against this car? I would think it would be a heck of a race.

we have chatted about running against each other (im stage 2+). now i havent ever driven an M5, but just by the sounds of things, i would say the M5 would win out (also depends on what type of run)...

unless maybe you throw some 100 octane in, and the guy sucks at driving.

My experience is 0-120 S4 is faster, after 120 mph the M5 wins

From a stop, I'd say driver's race. If you know how to launch, you'll win up to a certain speed

E39s M5s are terrible from a stand still, so easy to go up in smoke or bog. But, I love them. :-)
