They are loud! I remove them after the event.

LOL!!

Either I'm too slow...
because I think the stock brakes are good enough or I'm too cheap. I have lap times from last year. Do you have any you can email me? I would like to know how I compare especially to those with upgraded brakes.
I did the math. Since I only do 2 track events a year, this seems more economical to me. If I decide to keep the car longer or do more track events per year, I may go with an upgrade. |
Hey, do you still want my old A4 grill?
It's been sitting in my trunk.

sure. we gotta do lunch. when is good for you?

Anton, can we do a brake bleeding session at your house after you get back?
I've never done it before (have ESP and vag.com), so I might feel a little more comfortable with a little help. I want to flush out the stock fluid and put in the Motul.
I'm also curious to see what you think about the Kerr Friction pads. I might consider them for Mid Ohio...I'm definitely NOT spending coin on big brakes! |
can you snap a few pics of the splash shields removed ?
i've got a few ideas about a mod to the shields but i haven't looked at them yet.

Sure thing. I couldn't believe how easy it was...
with the Power Bleeder. And this was the first time I did it on a car ever. I used about 2 bottles of Motul but get 3 to play it safe. In any case, I have leftovers. We were supposed to flush Alex's car too but he was a no-show.
The Kerr Friction pads are what's keeping me from upgrading. I used them last year at VIR and Watkins Glen and they worked very well. There was fade towards the end of the session but I attribute that to the stock brake fluid. Let's see how the Motul holds up at VIR. |
