Rear Glass Haze

Rear Glass Haze
Hello, new to the wonderful forum. I reside in MN and have been dealing with rear window haze since new. (Now has 24K). The film on the rear glass does not come off with regular washing, and seems to come through after Rain-x applications. It now has scratches in the the glass after each handwashing (salt, sand, etc.) I have tried CLR, LimeAway, alcohol, vinegar, and many other combinations. Audi is now not going to cover the rear glass (they said they would 2 mo's ago, when there were scratches, but much less apparent). Why question Audi's wty logic, right? I need any and all advice. Thanks tons.

Re: Rear Glass Haze
It sounds like you etched the glass. There are ways to have the glass polished to remove this haze, but if Audi is replacing the glass, I wouldn't question them. In the future, I would not recommend using RainX, I couldn't stand how that product performed with age (haze and wiper chatter) I switched to Vision Blade from STP and have been happy with the results.
If you are looking to coat the glass without using harsh chemicals, I would recommend waxing the glass. Good luck
