Default Removal of engine to replace power steering rack

I just tried to order a replacement power steering rack and was told the engine needs to be removed to replace it .

Who told you the engine needed to be pulled? He's either incompetent or a scammer.

You and a friend can do it yourselves in your garage with jack stands; not that hard.

ROFL. Dealer quoted me 12hrs, I did it in 5hrs w/hand tools at my shop. It's not THAT BAD.

Default Check the steering wheel angle is "0" /w VAG after install to avoid airbag spiral ring damage.

Here are the torque specs:

Tell that shop to get Alldata now.
