Default Resetting Chip Memory...

Ok so I still have the problem with my fuel cutting off around 60 mph and up @ 4200 RPM and up. It really only happened when I layed into the accelerator quickly. The only things I could think of were the K&N Hi-Flo air filter that I just installed or the 710n's that I just installed. Well after much aggression and sailing with the captian I put my APR chip back in stock mode. Let it warm up again and it worked FINE (in stock mode). I dont know but I'm making a noob guess that when I changed the filter and 710n's that my chip wasnt adjusted for that? Do I need to reset my comp/chip? If so can I do that just by disconnecting the ECU and lettin it sit around in my living room for a couple hours since I dont have a VAG?

Default there is no chip 'adjustment' for k&n and/or 710's...

It should just work. I don't have a valet option on my APR - but maybe you're not in chipped mod?

Does the symptom happen in every gear at 4200 - ie. is it RPM dependant... boost dependant or speed dependant?

Reposting a tired and tasteless picture - and not even in context - is like...

Default that's someones child

1. you're using pictures unrelated to the post to get views
2. you think you're funny/cool b/c you post a picture of someones baby in a negative way. Sure you didn't create that picture but you had the intention when posting it.
3. don't try to make an excuse, karma will pay you back for being an insensitive a-hole

Default Reset just means pulling the ECU and plugging it back in, there's no science to it.

There's no adjustment. The K&N "High-flo" air filter is a complete misnomer, it's no better than OEM.

I'm assuming this never occurred prior to you installing the filter and 710N's.

How do you know the fuel is cutting at at 4200rpm?

You could be talking about 1 in a hundred issues. VAG it. Or give us a better explanation than posting something like that.
