So last night I noticed I had a boost leak, no big deal, took off the TBB and replaced it. Good to go. Big hole in the old one. I then just let the car sit for the night and went to bed. Started the car up this morning everything was fine. Took it go get some food at a local sandwich shop. No problems yet. I noticed on the way there that I had 5 miles till empty, but I go past 0 miles to empty almost every time, so I was going to just get some gas after I hate.
After I ate I started the car up and right away the EPC light went on and flashed. I thought to myself then shut the car off. I checked the mechanical things to make sure that I wasnt hurting my car by starting it of course. I checked the oil, boost leaks, broken hoses, ics hoses, etc. The car hesitated and then any throttle was not being accepted. It would just idle. I figured I was out of gas. I coasted into the gas station about 50 meters down the road.
I filled up with gas and turned the car on. No EPC light, so I figured I am good to go. Get out of the parking lot and give it some gas (car is warmed up) and nothing, it cuts again. I think to myself it could be a little air so I should let it cycle a little. I let it idle and give it some gas, cuts again, and no throttle position is making the car go above idle. The EPC light comes on again. I then turn the car off and check for mechanical errors. Everything looks good. I park the car, and my friend who ate with my takes me to get my laptop to check for codes.
I get back to my car and Vag-Com it.
I recieve the following codes:
Throttle Acuator Angle Sensor 1 P 1542-35-00 G187 Implausible Signal
Throttle Acuator Angle Sensor 2 P 1171-35-00 G188 Implausible Signal
Hmm i think to myself. I wonder if I could have messed something up in the TCD near my MAP sensor while installing the TBB last night.
I also thought that maybe my chip had become loose because of the EPC light. I took my ecu out, take it apart and make sure it is seated correctly. I then start the car and same thing, EPC light and no throttle activity.
I go check out the TCD. It seems to be okay, but I cannot tell if the connections are not correct underneath all of the heat shrink wrap.
I cut off the TCD, but I am not running a MAF, so I got the car towed to my house. It is sitting in my garage so no worries. I am positive it is not a mechanical problem.
I was wondering how to get a NEW TCD or make one from radioshack? It would be nice to get it done in a timely fashion, but just let me know how to make one and that would be great. The old one appeared to have some bad connections, and I think this may be the problem. Let me know if you think of something else.

same exact thing happened to me....
turned out it was as the dealer stated "code for p1545 malfunction in the throttle valve control system, p1544 angle sender 1 for throttle high p1172 angle sender 2 for throttle low. all faults caused by a loose connection at throttle body"..

Check the connector to your throttle body, sometimes the clip gets worn
TCD device on the boost sensor wiring is separate from the TB connector.
I have mine wired in place now, came off twice while driving hard. Even if it looks in place it's probably loose. Your symptoms are identical, loss of power, epc light, no throttle response, same DTCs. Or, you could have a bad TB :P
The twist-tie has since been replaced with better wire, this was just to get me home.
