Default Road America

I participated in day with the Wisconsin Sports Car Club which included about 20 minutes track time at RA after the last race on Saturday (June Sprints). It was sprinkling, and no passing was allowed except on the main and back straights...so I was only able to come out of 14 behind slower cars at about 40 mph...On the main straight (8/10 mile) I got to redline in 4th (119mph) plus a little, well before needing to brake for corner 1. With the wet track I was being careful! Interesting to note that each time I was following a 6 speed '98 Corvette, which pulled away only very slightly down the straight. My S4 is stock.

Default Wet Track?

While it was fogging in the AM and damp in some places, once I got on the track, it was dry as a bone. Are you sure that the shadows from the trees didn't give the appearance of a wet track? I don't recall any moisture whatsoever.

Default Re: Wet Track?

Well, not soaking puddly wet, but wet. This was about 5PM or so...very light rainfall, track a little greasy in the turns.
