Road noise from P7000 tires on a car I might buy....
This is a CPO, 2000 S$ w/46,000 miles that I just test drove. My only major complaint is the excessive road nose from the Pirellis. Do you think I can use this as a bargaining tool for loweing the price? Supposedly at least 50-60% tread life left on tires...

measure them yourself.. its its near or under 50% id say something considering the CPO
I purchased my CPO w/ 38k, less then 5-10k miles it needed brakes, suspension, and tires. I was told they measured the brakes at 53% anything under 50 they would have replaced for free.... not sure if this helps you, but it matters!
In that same time my tie rods were shot, and "seezed"... so my 1st oil change turned into a $2000+ quote... Not a experience your going to want. Id also check the tie rods...
CPO means nothing when buying the car... you will have the pleasure of bringing the car back to them at the same time wear and tear is NOT covered and they will find stuff like you didnt buy the day a day ago from them so i suggest looking over these things. Ask them for the % on the brake pads, no wild guessing.
If they tell you the tires are making noise because they are worn, tell them you want them replaced or credited.

P7000s are usually what are put on for lease turn-ins they are loud but if
the harmonics of the road noise change when you turn the wheel, it could very likely be the wheel bearings. Mine went @ 50K - I have P7's on mine and they are a bit noisy, but nothing that is intolerable...

so tie rods are considered normal wear and tear?
In response to the noise changing when turning, I did not notice that happening.
I will ask about the brake pads - about how much are oem pads and install?
