Roger/CapitalAudi, some words for you...
DISCLAIMER:: This is so petty, but I guess I'm bored this morning. This is what started it
You've said before that our ideas of getting together don't really appeal to you. A lot of times we just meet, shoot the **** and get drinks or dinner somewhere. That's not too appealing to you. We even go on drives, we just don't announce it on the boards. As well, we go karting at allsport. So enough of the "your asking the wrong group for stuff to do non-track related" comments. It's just that *most* of our high speed driving is done at the track or autoX.
Locally you have a very negative reputation. A lot of people have heard of you and don't have a particular desire to associate with you. That said, I seem to noticed an effort on your part to be somewhat less confrontational this summer. So I'm not going to rip into you over past behavior, however we've had this conversation many times before. I don't necessarily want to go ripping around on public roads at extra-legal speeds with a bunch of people who have NO clue how to drive. Have you considered that people here just don't want to go on YOUR drives? I know a few S4 people that have gone and decided once was enough for them.
And so what if we prefer track events?!?! It's much more fun then any "River Road Run", it's safer, and you actually learn something in the process. Try not to judge them until you go to one. They're not for everybody though, but at least experience one before you form a conclusion.

Unfortunately, your words may be falling on deaf ears...
if he hasn't figured out that you're already getting your kicks on the track, and have NO interest in doing it on a public street, he probably will never understand, no matter how you explain it to him.

I know you're joking, but I really hope that people don't misinterpret this post that way. It has
nothing to do with being a snob. It has to do with wanting to be safe and have fun.
