Default rpm rev in fifth and six?

i recently have had a engine rev or slipping of the clutch in fifth and sixth gear when i step on the throttle real quick so i thought the clutch was going out but it doesnt seem to do it in the other gears and if it was a clutch shouldnt it do it in all gears under high torque. if you have any ideas please let me know

Default clutch is going out. very common to have it happen in higher gears first

high gears actually has the highest load, because you have a ton of torque going through the clutch and rpm isn't changing much.

Default

higher gears lower RPM WOT has more stress on clutch for holding power than lower gears.

Default Thats a way to test a clutch. Put car in high gear while driving slow and hit it.

Its more prone to slip in higher gear low RPM WOT like rktskicar said.

Your clutch is shot.

Default that's the clutch. you'll slowly start to notice it in the lower gears as it worsens

higher gears = more load on the clutch.
