Default RS4 clutch review and interesting break in procedure.... comments?

My car is currently at 99,000 kms (60k miles) and my dealer discovered an oil leak in the rear main differential. LUCKILY under CPO warranty, they fixed the leak and replaced my clutch (which was on its way out) for free. I supplied an RS4 pressure plate (Thanks Mike @ VAST) and the dealer supplied a new clutch and throw out bearing and installed it all.

The head technician (and shop foreman) is one of the best Audi mechanics in Canada (regularly called upon by Audi for special projects and such) explained to me an excellent clutch break in procedure....

In third gear accelerate up to about 3000 rpms and depress the clutch all the way until the rpms come down to idle the release the clutch and let the tranny slow the car down somewhat.

He claims if you do this regularly for the first 100 kms or so, your clutch is broken in. He also said not to launch it extremely hard for the first couple of weeks of course.

Now on to the review, first impression is WOW. The clutch feels soooo light compared to my almost finished stiff stock clutch. First gear is a little tricky until I get used to it but after that my left foot is very happy with the ease of the clutch use.

The timing on this couldn't have been better since stop and go winter traffic will be upon us here in Toronto very soon. Haven't pushed it yet but so far I am very happy.

Thanks for the review. Getting the clutch done myself in a few. The clutch isn't covered under CPO though, right? He just did it cause he was in there for the leak, right?
