Default how do i replace injector o-rings?

I have never done this before. I was reading over a manual, but I think these injectors are different. How do I get the old O-ring off the injector? Do I take the end off, or stretch the o-ring over it?

thanks.

Default Pull the fuel rails off...(watch for flying gasoline), yank the injectors

out, and you'll see the O rings. Swap them out.

Default did most of that...

my question of concern was; there is a orange tip to the injector. Do I slip the o-rin over the tip, or do i remove this orange top, and slide oring off?

The lip around this orange piece is quite large that the oring seats on to. I am pretty sure this orange tip comes off, since a "oring damper" directly above the oring cannot be stretched.
Already tried delicately to remove oring by stretching it. while it can be done, it seemed risky to me. if this is the only way than that is what ill do.

Default Ooops, sorry. Don't know...I've only messed with the A4 injectors.

I don't remember any confusion over the O rings. (but that doesn't help you) :-/

Default The only way I know is to stretch them... They pretty much fall off of most Bosch injectors.

What kind of injectors are you using?

Default these are the a.w.e. "green" injectors...

They have a orange tip to them, and definately doesnt slip off easily. there is a lip that holds them loosely, but securely.

Just so were on the same page, its the black o-rings, not the blue ones. the upper seals on the injectors did indeed come out quite easily. the blue ones usually had to be fished out of the rail actually : )
so those werent the problem.

Default Yea, those are Bosch injectors. Just stretch em on.

I'm still wondering why they'd need replacement though.
