S4 or ford escort cosworth???

Just had to write that there is a ford cosworth sitting outside my dental office, across the street. went to check it out. Straight out of germany. Just wonder how they got it here and licensed.
Could it be that H and R snuck it over to Bellingham. Since their warehouse is here in town and the car had HR stickers on it.

I love those cars, but I like my s4 too.

One of my beemer friends tried to lose one one morning on the way to work.

I think he had it up to 130MPH or so before he gave up and let the "escort" by.

Take care

There is one I know of in Austin, TX.

Its at Elite Motorsports....some guy with A LOT OF MONEY has it. It has bigger wheels, huge brakes in the front and some engine mods. He said he's getting some more parts to get his goal of 500 HP. Hey, Michael Dell has helped alot of people. This guy is like 50 something.....still out there picking on the young folks.........Hopefully I can be the same at the age. :) Funny thing is, he really liked my car. I was getting my springs installed and he was really into the S4. Made me feel proud for a second.

Wasn't a orangy/gold one was it? white wheels?

I know the guy who owns that one, and at least 1 or 2 more. Have seen it run at an autocross. Completely whooped my S4, but only when he could keep it from swapping ends! (it was wet) He's a pretty darn good driver and the car is just amazing. I believe he works for H&R.

yup, thats the one. I even saw a bit of shoe polish on the window for numbers. he must go to the track.
God those things are bad ass.

How much HP do you think. Didn't they come with 220 in europe?

Interesting color too. Liked the wheels.

Sun International brought a few in some years back..and more Cossie info

Those are really nice cars to drive.
2 different versions
YBT 1992-1995
YBP 1995-End of production
YBT is the original blue printed version which alllows easy horsepower upgrades. ECU problems restricted the YBP versions.
Both cars came with 220bhp std.
Anything with more than 380 bhp will need an endless supply of gearboxs and driveshafts.
I owned one in Asia for 3 years. Tuned by Graham Goode Racing of UK. Check his website www.grahamgooderacing.com for lots of info and interesting parts.
Those thing ARE restricted to 150mph but the huge rear spoiler. I know....
Though I would really like to drive another one of those..the rumour of

First Onthe Rubbish Dump
holds some truth...
