SC430 VS S4 at 4850FT above sealevel= Good Race
Pulled Up behind SC430 at light located at the bottom of a two mile long hill, Local expressway. Wife is in the car. SC430 dude looks long and hard in the rear view. Just before the light turns green he gives me this look in the rear view and then that head nod thing like he is gonna go and maybe I should try to follow. He goes off the light as hard as he can I have to be careful not to tip the wife off. We are dead even nothing gained nothing given through first. I hit second, the wife now knows that something is going on; I pull a little in second and change lanes for the third gear pull. We both hit third at about the same time but I just flat pulled on him, put about a car length on him and then slowed down. Gotta love boost it makes my care so much fun at all altitudes especially when some dude wants to go and he doesn't know that the elevation is actually sapping his power.

I drove my neighbor's once. I was surprised at how much cowl shake it had and the very flexible
chassis. I know it's a convertible, but I thought that a Lexus conv. would have more rigidity than say a Mustang ragtop. I also thought it couldn't run with a stock S4, but maybe I was wrong. It might stay close to a tip, but I would think a manual with a decent driver would easily walk an SC430.

I am pretty sure that if I had not been located behind him to begin with and had been able to launch, that it would have been a different race entirely. But as it was I pulled out from behind him and passed him.

Yeah, forgot about that part - plus when you are behind, the other guy gets the jump and you have to
react and then make up that distance, so actually you did walk him pretty good. Just didn't seem right at first...
