Scraping/Suspension Question
Since I got my car back Iâ€TMve noticed over some bumps and dips that the underside of the car scrapes the ground. Yesterday, I had a car load of people and the thing kept scraping constantly at slow speeds over speed bumps, imperfections (small potholes) in the road etc...it was bothering me.
So my question, what could this be? Shocks? My suspension is stock and my tires are properly inflated. 2000 w/ 37K. Just gauging to see if I am gonna be throwing a suspension setup on this car sooner than anticipated (shoulda been one of the first but live and learn)!
Thanks ladies and gents.

If your stock the only thing that would cause that is if the springs had sagged...
Can you see under the car where you were scraping? Could also be a suspension piece making that noise as it goes through its motion, make sure nothing has come loose and scraping against an arm, etc... I suppose if the shocks were really worn they could make a scraping noise as they traveled through their motion. I would check the sway bar grommets first, front and back, you'll have to remove the belly pan in front to fully expost the path of the front sway bar.

It is coming from right under the car where the shifter is.
Which I thought was odd. When it is just me in the car, it doesnt do it at all...but when there are a couple more people it happens at slow speeds over bumps.
